My Review:
This is the Second book in the Born in Flames Trilogy.  The first book was great but the second was beyond amazing.  It was liked being sucked through a portal to another world.  I already knew the characters so it was much easier to get emotionally evolved but with Candace's writing you come to love the characters for all there attitudes, quirks and faults. This story is full of all kinds of supernatural beings. Witches, Mages, Dragons, Fates just to name a few. The character development in this book was amazing, especially the characters who played a smaller role in the first book. When Astral is taken I think I was almost as shaken by it as Aurora was. There are secrets that everyone is keeping that come to light and change how the characters interact with each other.  I know that Aurora and Finn are fated to be together but I cant help rooting for Zane.  Zane is turning into my favorite character. He's funny, quirky and accepts and understands Aurora more than anyone else can.  When one of there own is lost it was very sad, but makes the prophecy ring true.  Aurora uses the Oraculus to check in with Zordon to see what his plans are but it never goes as planned. Going to the land of dragconta was eye opening. Throw in the Dark Saar and it gets scary pretty fast. When one of there own becomes a traitor, and they are in full blown war we learn that Zordon and Aurora are more connected then we could believe. Some surprise reappearances bring relief, sorrow and joy.  Some revelations at the end of the book show that Aurora and her allies will have to fight harder then they have before to save the future.  I really loved this and am excited and sad for the final book of the Born in Flames Trilogy.
