Taryn Watts is an award-winning designer, going from project to project, living from a suitcase. Her plan for Renlend Kansas was the same as always. Go in, get the job done and get out, just the way she likes it. Growing up as a cop’s daughter, her every move was controlled. When she escaped to college she vowed to never fall in love with a cop –ever. Until she found herself sitting across from the ruggedly handsome stranger. Looking into Mike’s ice blue eyes they pulled her, called to her, but there was a haunting in them she knew too well.
Mike is drawn to Taryn, her passion for her work and her stunning beauty left him breathless, but what surprises him most is the peace he feels when he’s near her. Maybe it’s because Taryn is a temporary addition to his town and his secret is safe, or maybe it’s because she makes him feel safe. Mike knows he can’t keep up this charade and when Taryn moves to Renlend for an extended stay he can’t hide the truth any longer.
Can Taryn forget he’s a cop and give him her heart, or will his demons drive them apart?

REVIEW: I enjoyed reading this book. It was really refreshing that even though bad things happened and they both had "demons" that the book wasn't dark or depressing. I found this story to be really light but that did not effect the content for me. When they finally admit feeling for each other I though it couldn't have happened soon enough. Both times when Mike meets her room mates its funny.  there is lots of funny times thought out the book. The way Mike try's to work on his issues on his own is very realistic of what happens in the real world. I'm very glad he finds Taryn.

About the Author
When asked ‘when do you have time to write’, Amy Gregory simply laughs. The real answer is, “in bits and pieces”. She and her husband live in Kansas City with their three fantastic kids that keep them running in three very different directions. Because she sits so much, she always carries a notebook with her at all times.
She has an off the wall, snarky, off the cuff sense of humor that often shocks even those who’ve known her for years. And she loves that her children have all been blessed that ability to make others laugh as well. At least she’s grateful most of the time! Her husband often teases her about how she “makes this stuff up” when he’s reading a piece of her work. … The answer—“it just comes to me when I’m typing”. Scary thought, huh!

Make me, Channing. Make me fall. Push me, shove me, just make sure I get there.” I shout at him, taking a step back. His eyes clash with mine. I read the challenge there, making me take another step back. He stalks the few steps to me and grabs my arms slamming his forehead down on mine, “I’ll make you.” His lips skim against mine as he continues to speak, “And I’ll be falling right there with you.”

“Do you really want me to fall for you?” I whisper.
He gets up from the ground and runs his fingers through his hair. He seems frustrated but I don’t know why. “That’s what I want,” he whispers also. Looking back at me. I can’t see his eyes from here but I know what they look like. Full of fear and uncertainly. “I’m scared though. I’ve never been in a serious relationship. And I really don’t want to fuck this up.”
I’m scared too. Sometimes he consumes my thoughts and that was before I knew how he felt. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be with him and I screw up. But I know that I want to fall for him. I know deep in my soul that I will never have a love in my life like I would with Channing.
And that’s the scariest thought I’ve ever had.
“I don’t know if that’s what I want,” I tell him looking away.
He runs his fingers through his hair yet again. “Paisley, don’t fuck with my head. I’ve had enough of that in my life. I can’t do crazy bitches anymore.”
I flinch with the comparison to his mother. To my mother. “I’m not fucking with your head. Maybe we shouldn’t do this.”
I can see he’s pissed now. He’s unable to see my fear that I’m trying to push him away, like he was trying to push me away. “Stop. The. Fucking. Head. Games!” he yells, taking a deep breath after each word.
“I’m not!” I yell back. Who knows what the truth is anymore. I’ve been screwed by a lot of people, but I’m still here. I wouldn’t survive being fucked over by Channing. I wouldn’t survive him breaking my heart.
“Dammit Paisley! Open your fucking eyes! This is fucking real. You and me, that’s real. What we feel isn’t a fling. I’ve never felt this way about anyone in my life. Don’t take it from me,” his voice is pleading.
My body breaks out in a cold sweat and I wipe my palms on my leggings. My limbs shake and I don’t know if I’m mad or just plain fucked up. Maybe it’s me with the commitment issues. No, I know it is me. So I do something for myself, I let go of that fear. Though it comes out more like anger.
“Make me, Channing. Make me fall. Push me, shove me, just make sure I get there,” I shout at him, taking a step back. His eyes clash with me. I read the challenge there, making me take another step back.
He stalks the few steps to me and grabs my arms slamming his forehead down on mine. “I’ll make you.” His lips skim against mine as he continues to speak. “And I’ll be falling right there with you.”

His fingers wrapped around the back of my neck, pulling me hard against his
body. I knew what he was attempting to do, but his plan was backfiring.
My body sighed at the contact, and every curve molded against him;
desperate to feel all of him.
“If I feel you beneath me, I won’t
be able to stop Araya. I want you too damn much! I want you, all of you.
I want to be buried so deep inside of you, you won’t know where I end
and you begin.” His breath showered my lips with warmth.
“I won’t want you to stop Ryland. I need you, all of you, now and forever.”
“And the rest?”
eyes move over my face, flushing my skin with the intensity of his
gaze. The rhythm of my heart increased, because I know what he wants me
to say.
“Say it.” He growls against my lips.
Review: I enjoyed this book as much as the first one. The Dare family is as interesting as ever. The obstacles and the emotion in this book is very realistic. I could not put it down and read it within 2 hours... I did not care for the time skipping at the end or the lack of detail of all the Dares was very frustrating. I love Careless and Sebastian as much as Ryland. I would love to read more books about these characters.

The life of an innocent pastor’s kid suddenly is turned upside down in a war between good and evil as Anna begins to wonder which people in her life are on the side of good, and is she one of them.

Review: This book was hard for me to get into.  Lots of the story was confusing. That aside I ended up enjoying the book. Anna will stop at nothing to get what she wants but since she is a little naive it makes for some ridiculous circumstances.

But Anna is shocked when she discovers who Emry really is, the forces of evil supporting him and how the temptations in paradise have been misleading them both. It will take all the strength and determination Anna and Emry possess to survive Evadere, even as the killing starts ...

Review: This book was easier for me to enjoy. There was still things that were confusing. I was very glad that Anna met Jo. It was very said when the Scave that spared their life was killed. I was hoping for a future for him and Jo. When people start getting killed its Anna that people blame, it doesn't help that she is human.

Sara V. Zook new picMEET SARA
Sara wrote her first book at age six. Of course, it was only a few pages, handwritten by a 6-year-old and was about kitty cats. As a child, some days she would be out venturing in the woods with her older brother and cousins, but sometimes would stay inside and create stories, write them down in a notebook and then pretend to publish them by typing them up on her mother's old typewriter. "I know, what a weird child I was." From then on out, Sara didn't want to be anything but a writer. When others would ask her classmates what they wanted to be when they grew up, some would say the usual things, singers, veterinarians, astronauts, but not Sara. Sara would say writer, and then she'd get a strange stare. Writer? What child says they want to be a writer?

Sara graduated from United High School in 2000, a small school out in the country where everyone knew each other from kindergarten up and could tell you every little detail about each other and still can. "It was a nice area to grow up, and I love going back."

In 2004, Sara graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a bachelor's in, you guessed it, creative writing. She had such a blast in college, met some of the greatest people that Sara still remains in close contact with along with her husband, Brad. They were married and had two children back to back, so while Sara was in "mommy land," her writing was put on the back-burner.

Sara started writing again in the summer of 2010, and after three months, 'Strange in Skin' became the product of her imagination. Sara had so much fun writing it, she couldn't stop. She would work all day and then stay up late at night typing up a few more chapters. She didn't want it to end, so Sara decided she would have to write more books to follow it. The main characters, Anna James and Emry Logan, were people Sara could relate to, that she loved to relate to. There's nothing quite like a sappy love story that's so good it sucks you in. You want them to be together. They have to be together and you can't stop reading until they are together. That with a little paranormal twist, and voila, a book is born.

Then Sara and Brad became proud parents once again. Sara is still in "mommy land" but also Strange in Skin fantasy land. The mix of both raising children and writing makes for some pretty entertaining days. Sara could write a million stories on her kids alone, especially the things that come out of their mouths that you're either so shocked they said or are so funny that you can't stop laughing.

Review & Giveaway: On The Right Side of the Line by Shandy Kurth

On the Right Side of A Line

Author- Shandy L Kurth

Genre- New Adult Action/Romance

I thought I knew where I was going. I had my life all planned out. It had been mapped for me since I was ten. When I turned fourteen I became a Raven, just like my big brother. It was a lifer thing, not something you could walk away from. I moved up the ranks quickly, just like everyone thought I would. Now at eighteen I was close to the top. I could break thumbs with the best of 'em and bust heads with the best. I was a force to be reckoned with. Yeah. I had it all together before that one event tore my life apart, and that one girl got me all confused

“You’re gonna pick up some gated brothers out here sitting around half naked.”

“I am not half naked!” she barked, finally looking up at me, her face flushing red whether it was from the heat or embarrassment, I wasn’t sure.

“You might as well be. What’s a hoity-toity like you doing on Columbus?” I bent down, checking out her bike that was leaned up against the railing, the chain still hanging off it.

“You’re a real gentlemen, you know that?” she said slapping her book shut and standing with her arms crossed.

“I never claimed to be.” I laughed as she pulled her shorts down.  It didn’t help.  I snapped her bike chain back into place without too much effort and stood up, wiping the grease on my jeans.

“What’s ‘gated’ mean?” she said after a minute of being a silent.

I laughed again, “Just let out…like the pen, just released.”

She bit her lip and turned to go back inside.

“Wowa! What the hell we got here?” It was JB, a Raven of the low life persuasion which is saying something since none of us were prizes. “Where’d you pick up this classy broad?” he snarled, looking her up and down.

The girl’s eyes turned huge as she crossed her arms over her chest again.  It still didn’t help.  I shook my head. I had way too much going on to worry about her, but something wasn’t letting me go.

“She’s my new girl.  I bought her up town. What do ya think?”

“ I think you better share,” he leered, taking a step toward her, practically drooling.

“Oh, you know I never share. Shall we go?” I asked her, putting my hand out, tempting her to grab for it.

She hesitated, still leery of me as she had the right to be.  She must have decided she didn’t want to be left alone in a house with JB waiting out front, waiting to catch her alone.  She reached for me.

I completely loved this book!!! I was a little hesitate at first because of the gang theme but I have enjoyed the authors other books so I knew even if the story line wasn't my cup of tea that the writing would be great and she did not let me down.  I ended up loving the story. Shandy did a great job of sucking me in again and making me care for these people. The story was very real, action packed and raw. This story showed the grittiness and the hopelessness that people sometimes feel. Not everyone who does bad things wants to be a bad person. When pushed to the limit people do what they need to, to stay alive... The "romance" in this story isn't what draws you into the story but it is what changes the dynamics. In the end I was not ready to let the characters go, I wanted more!!!!!!

When Emma meets ex-rodeo star Cade Winters, she finds him a little too cocky for his own good! Although he’s attractive, he can be infuriating at times.

But what does Cade feel about her? Can he truly love her - and her curves?

“Anything else I can do?”

Emma looked around the barn. To her regret, she couldn’t think of a single thing. Except, kiss me. She slowly shook her head. “No.”

“Well, I guess I’ll be going.”

His tone sounded reluctant. It must have been her imagination.

She raised her eyes, his emerald gaze ensnaring her. He suddenly seemed to be standing much closer to her.

“You’ve got a smudge.” His thumb caressed her cheek.

She couldn’t help the husky tone in her voice. “Is…is it gone?”

“Let me see.” His eyes gleamed with desire as he bent his head toward hers. “All gone," he murmured. “Except for here.”

His lips brushed hers. Excitement rippled through her as he deepened the kiss, claiming her mouth. His strong, capable arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her even closer. She surrendered to the kiss, her hands clasping his shoulders as he explored the secrets of her mouth. Her legs wobbled, making her grateful he held her so securely.

Jenn Roseton believes that romance and happy endings go together. When she’s not writing, she indulges in delicious gourmet chocolate.

Although she’s spent time in Wyoming, unfortunately she didn’t meet a sexy cowboy of her own.

“The next thing I knew I heard yelling. I tried to get up but I couldn’t. I realized that I was tied up and lying on a hard wood floor. I opened my eyes and didn’t recognize my surroundings nor did I see Jessie. I then heard what sounded like gun fire and a loud thud. My heart stopped and then started beating very fast. Where is my Jessie? What just happened? I heard what sounded like an engine and then tires peeling out. I had to get up. I had to find Jessie. Oh God let her be okay, Please let her be okay!”

Review: This book was just ok for me. The switching between numerous characters I couldn't decided if I liked it or if it was annoying. It seemed in the story the author would give lots of details about something and then very little details about the next thing in the story. Over all though I liked the story line and the characters. There is lots of drama in this story. Everything else aside in the end the author left me wanting to know what happens next....

Review: Blog Tour Precious Consequences by Tamsyn Bester

Title: Precious Consequences

Author: Tamsyn Bester

Release Day: November 10, 2013

All it took was one night to change the rest of my life.

One night that created irrevocable consequences.

But some consequences aren’t all bad.

They can be amazing…beautiful… Precious.

I willingly accepted those consequences and wrote a new plan for my life. But that plan didn’t include Cameron Argent – the sexy-as-sin tattooed playboy who got under my skin the moment I laid eyes on him. I was headed down a dark and dangerous road where he was concerned and in the end, our relationship was inevitable. Despite our dark secrets, our feelings for each other burned brighter than a thousand stars and left us both naked, vulnerable.

But when my past came rolling back into my life like a Summer storm, I wasn’t sure if his love for me was enough.
Was he prepared to deal with the consequences of a past I couldn’t regret or would he walk away with my beating heart in his hands?

(This is a New Adult Contemporary Romance novel & contains language & adult situations. Not recommended for readers younger than 17)

Excerpt 1
~ Cameron ~
I roll over in bed and immediately feel hands all over my lower body. I don’t need to open my eyes to know who it is, or what she’s doing, because this is a regular morning wake-up call for me. Rachel’s mouth trails down my stomach, lowering until her hot breath blows over my morning wood. My cock jerks, a little sensitive to the heat of her mouth, and she giggles.
“I see someone’s a little eager for some play time,” she purrs. I open one eye and look down the length of my body to where her head is. Her grin is seductive, and sexy, yet something about this feels…old. The only excitement I feel is the physical kind, but I’d be an idiot to turn this down. I watch her mouth wrap around the tip of my cock and drop my head back as a groan escapes from my mouth.  I reach down, grabbing Rachel’s bleached blonde hair, and guide her until my tip hits the back of her throat. I wonder idly if Rachel would still wake me up like this if we were actually a couple, or if she only does it in the hopes that I’ll make whatever we are ‘official’. If that’s the case, I see many more mornings just like this in my near future because as far as mine and Rachel’s relationship status is concerned, we’re nothing more than ‘fuck buddies’, as my best friend Noah likes to call it.
My hips jerk wildly and I screw my eyes shut as my orgasm rips me into shreds. When I manage to calm my erratic breathing, I open my eyes to a very naked Rachel straddling my waist. She leans down to kiss me and I oblige. There is no spark, no electricity. Nothing. At least not from my side. I’m willing to bet Rachel is hearing wedding bells right now. Too bad I couldn’t care less. She rubs herself on me, sliding up and down, getting me hard again. Her moan should encourage me to take care of her, like she did me, but I feel no such inclination. I sit up, grab her hips, and pull her from my waist. “I’m going to shower,” I say callously. “I have to take Jordan to daycare before class.” Her pout becomes a scowl.
“What about me?” she asks petulantly. I climb out of bed, not caring that I’m buck ass naked, and look at her over my shoulder.
“Maybe later, babe,” I shrug.
She huffs behind me. “You’re such a jerk, Cam.”
Review: I enjoyed this book. The relationship between Ali and Cam was tense at first but when do doesn't let stuff that don't matter to him get in the way things start to smooth out. There is lots of banter in this book and a few surprises in store for the characters. In the end the best decision is made for everyone... When you are meant to be a family little stands in your way... Not every happy ever after is cookie cutter!!!
