I really enjoyed this book. The main character was a no nonsense type of girl. She is ruff, well maybe too rough. You can tell from things said that she has been hurt in the past but no specifics. I really liked Mike and felt sorry for him about his feelings for Dillion and how she treated him but never got the details of why they were not together anymore. The characters were very likeable as the role they played. I kept waiting for the "real" vampires to show up but it wasn't that kind of book, but still the story did not disappoint me. When the guilty party is revealed in the end it was a little surprising at first but stayed with in the story line. I can't wait to see where the second book goes.

The Second book in the Dylan Hart series was better than the first. Its full of the loud mouth Dylan that we love so much. Having read the first book I feel like I have a connection to the characters. Dylan immerse herself in the lives of the "vampires" and bites of more than she can chew. I liked the character development of Cyrus a lot. In the story there is balls, and booze and bloodletting with some voodoo thrown in for good measure. In both book you see that more is going on than what Dylan wants to believe and we finally get to see her come face to face with some of it in this book. At the end of book when it abruptly ends with lots of fear I was like what? No!! Where is the rest? Who? Needless to say I am anxiously awaiting book three that is reported to be released this year! This author is amazing with bringing her stories to life so that you live them right along with the characters. I highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys a good story with a mouthy B***h!!

It was a very quick read. I really liked the characters and became invested right away. The main character was very sassy but that's was no surprise considering who the author is. There were quite a few What???? moments in the story for me. I really enjoy this authors work because she pulls you into the story so flawlessly. I have to say there were tears on and off from the fire scene till the end. Talk about you don't know what you got till its gone. Cant wait to see where the story goes from here. I may be naive but I'm still holding out hope for love.
