These are Jocylene Sanders’ top priorities as she enters her sophomore year of college. The last thing she expects is to find herself the champion of an entire kingdom. However, that is just what happens when the mysterious Faerie, Rothatin Longspear, appears to her, tasking her with saving a parallel world full of creatures from her wildest dreams.
Jocylene journeys with him into the world of Fallada, hoping for answers about her birth parents and background. What she finds is a mystifying past, and an even more uncertain future, as her heart becomes entangled with the stoic, battle-hardened Rothatin, as well as Eli, the untroubled Panther Shifter with no loyalties and no home. With her heart and soul pulled in so many directions, can
Jocylene find the strength needed to become the savior one nation so desperately needs?
I really enjoyed this book. The first one was good but I had a hard time getting into the story. Not so with this book. I really loved the characters and the story development. Jocylene is just like any other teenage or so it seems. I liked how she was a strong character, she did not back down. Her role in saving the kingdom of Fallada seems hard at first but the more "people" she meets along her journey the easier it becomes. Her feelings for the faerie and the panther were very mixed message but the care she has for both of them shines thru. When the time comes for battle she meets her mother and sister and sheds lots of tears for those around her. In the end she finds answers to some of the questions she has, like who are her parents....
